The adventure includes hiking, walking and climbing on difficult terrain, that's why you need any kind of close shoes to help you with grip and prevent you from falling. (No sandals allowed) but Teva yes. Also drinking water and snacks is a most. Extra clothes to change at the end. After 8:30am is a "no show" and not refundable, so we recommend to add 20-30 minutes to the gps ETA due to the morning traffic.
