The close proximity of the caves to the sea provided the perfect access to pirates. Adelaide is one of the three historic villages in New Providence, Nassau, where the African slaves who were given freedom by then Governor of the Bahamas Sir James Carmichael Smyth settled in 1831.Today, only a few families remained in Adelaide, occupying the few quaint colourful little houses in the village. We pass through the village and at the back sits a perfect beach day loaded with activities that await you. Make it a lazy beach day or one filled with adventure. It's entirely up to you!
